Both Henry and Louie yelp and go yip yip yip in their sleep. They twitch and jerk and look like they are running, their little legs pawing the air. Even at ten years old Henry still sometimes makes sucking sounds as if he is nursing. I always wonder what is going on inside their little minds. Are they chasing cats or smelling peanut butter in their dreams??? Is Henry back at his mama’s teats, having a snack?

Since dogs are so very similar to us, I suppose their little brains are working through the day’s events, processing data, parting the waters of the deep unconscious sea from the fluctuations of their puggy bodies, as they sail through the night.
