Henry saved a Kitty!

Because I had to walk Henry this past Sunday, by a wonderful turn of events, we were able to find a lost kitty and help return her to her anguished mama. There had been signs up all over the neighborhood that this sweet little white cat was missing and there was a reward offered. A week and a half went by and it was just breaking my heart every time I passed one of those fliers.
So Sunday morning I decided to take Henry to a neighborhood where we don’t usually go anymore, because it is a long walk and I don’t walk Henry as far as I did when he was younger. But something pulled us both toward that area, and we were really enjoying it and went even further than we planned. We took a turn down a street that was somewhat strange to us.
Walking along I saw a flier on a telephone pole that had a picture of a white cat. The people who found the cat were trying to find it a home because they already had cats. I looked closely and it dawned upon me that the cat in that flier was the same cat in the fliers in my neighborhood. I took down the number and rushed home, on the way stopping to get the other number off the fliers in my area.
I called the number that found the cat and asked them if they still had the little white kitty. They said yes. I was so excited. I called the other number and told the woman about the flier I had seen and that the people still had the cat and that it sure looked like it might be hers. She quickly hung up and called them and went over there and it was indeed her missing baby. She was ecstatic! As was I!! It was a truly happy ending and now little Maggie is back home. She had wandered over a mile away from home and had turned up at those folks house squawking and hungry and, being cat people, they had taken her in.
It all just came together synergistically. But if I hadn’t had to walk Henry that morning she might still be missing.
